Lipschutz ulcer is an uncommon condition characterized by the rapid onset of painful vulvar or vaginal ulcerations typically in non–sexually active women. The exact pathophysiology is unclear but it may be preceded by a viral-like illness. It is a diagnosis of exclusion and management is generally supportive.
